Australia 27-8 Georgia: Wallabies finish Rugby World Cup Pool D with victory

Australia finished their Rugby World Cup Pool D program on Friday with an unimpressive 27-8 victory over Georgia, grinding the triumph in conditions in Shizuoka.
Nic White notched the sole try for the Wallabies using out-half Matt Toomua including the only points of this first period using a penalty, beyond a strong Georgia defensive campaign.
Marika Koroibete scored a sensational attempt to give Australia breathing distance, as Alexander Todua sprinted up the wing following having a Lasha Khmaladze break, but Georgia responded to the last 10 minutes.
Australia back-row Jack Dempsey rubber-stamped the success along with five minutes remaining when he scored the back of a drive off when he dived over in the final minute and Will Genia additional undue gloss.
Australia will face England in the October 19 – together with England with come off the back of a 14-day rest with France.
